Software Tester

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive testing of software applications to ensure high quality and functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to understand project requirements and design effective testing strategies.
  • Perform various types of testing, including functional, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, report, and track software defects, and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Document test plans, test cases, and test results for effective communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Software Tester or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using testing tools, both commercial and open-source.
  • Solid knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A relevant degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Salary and Working Hours:

  • Gross Salary: £25,800-36,000 per annum.
  • Working Hours: Full-time position with a 37-hour working week.
  • Equivalent Hourly Rate: £13.18-18.71.
